Pokemon GO has become a worldwide topic of conversation/discussion overnight, you cannot miss it if you were from the late 90’s or early 20’s kid. Every child’s dreams are about to become a pokemon trainer, the new Nintendo and the Niantic’s brought that cartoon back by creating a virtual game where players can train their own Pokemon.

how does it works?

As users walk around the real world, the Pokemon characters appears on the game map randomly. When a user come within a close enough range the Pokemon start appearing on the screen. Using the Poke balls, they can capture them. The main aim of the game is to collect all Pokemon. The map is an anime style version of Google Maps that replaces the street names and landmarks with specific buildings. Another interesting feature of the game is Poke stops, which are real life locations where users can collect them self  free Poke balls,. They can also find eggs that hatch into Pokemon.

why so popular?

The reasons for its popularity is it's completely free to download and easy to play with an attractive user-interface. The social part of the game is when battling for control of a Gym. Users can go to their respective gym and train their Pokemon or battle with others Pokemon. At a certain level players can join a team which will then give them the ability to assign the Pokemon caught by the users to open a gym.  If the gym is in the same colour as the players team, the users can train their Pokemon in that gym and if another colour the can go for a battle to take control of that gym. Players can win their gym battles by knowing their opponent Pokemon strength and weakness with the help of Pokemon Strength and Weakness Charts.
